Takeru Amano

JapaneseJapanese
, b. 1977

Takeru has been in contact with the world of art since his childhood, and in 1997, he moved to New York where he studied engraving for three years. Upon his return to Tokyo, he mixed the new influences from the big apple with the Japanese pop culture which gradually lead to defining his own style. Using classicism and modernity in his creations, Takeru Amaro combines accuracy of the line to an explosive color palette from the pop culture. His works have been part of several solo and group exhibitions, specially in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
