Xavier Ange Casalta, a native of Digne les Bains, France, was born on July 9th, 1992. His journey into the realm of art began with a year of MANAA followed by a BTS in Visual Communication. At the youthful age of 20, he embarked on his entrepreneurial path, establishing himself as a graphic designer and illustrator. Initially drawn to the art of typography, Casalta delved into crafting intricate lettering designs, exploring the nuances of the alphabet. However, his artistic curiosity soon expanded to encompass a broader scope, with a pronounced fascination for still life and architectural subjects. Casalta's fascination with architecture blossomed during a collaborative project with the esteemed Dior fashion house. More recently, his creative pursuits have led him to develop a profound admiration for the timeless allure of Antiquity. Employing the meticulous technique of pointillism, Casalta meticulously crafts his masterpieces using only ink on paper. His artworks are meticulously composed of millions of minuscule dots, with larger formats requiring upwards of 10 million meticulously placed points. Drawing inspiration from a myriad of sources, Casalta's creative wellspring is enriched by the golden ratio inherent in nature, particularly evident in plants and flowers. He also finds inspiration in the symmetrical beauty that permeates various disciplines, including engraving, sculpture, and architecture. Casalta's deep-rooted passion for ancient coins permeates his work, as he endeavors to translate his diverse interests into captivating visual narratives, thereby infusing his creations with a palpable sense of his personal zeal and dedication.
