Born in Siberia and raised amidst its vast, untamed wilderness, the artist was deeply influenced by the abundant wildlife around him. From a young age, he observed animals, studied their behaviors, and sketched their distinctive traits. This early fascination with the diverse habits and characteristics of animals has become the cornerstone of his artistic expression. To him, animals symbolize freedom and serve as an endless source of inspiration. In his work, the artist explores the complexities of animal forms, delving into their grace, personalities, and emotions, which often mirror human experiences. Each sculpture tells a story; by immersing himself in the essence of the animal he portrays, he strives to capture its spirit and infuse the piece with a sense of life and character. He employs clay for larger sculptures and plasticine for smaller, more intricate forms. Once the sculptures are completed, they are cast in bronze and finished with a painterly patina to enhance their depth and vitality.
