Nick Veasey discovered his passion for photography as a teenager and pursued it professionally in his thirties. After a decade working in advertising and design, focusing on traditional still photography, Veasey first experimented with x-ray imaging when tasked with x-raying a soda can for a TV show. Seizing the opportunity, he also x-rayed the shoes he was wearing that day. The striking results caught the attention of an art director, whose enthusiastic feedback spurred Veasey to delve deeper into x-ray photography. Since then, Veasey has become renowned for his work with x-ray imaging. His ethereal and intriguing images have been exhibited in galleries worldwide, featured in international advertising campaigns, and adorned product packaging. His innovative approach has also earned him several prestigious photographic and design awards.
