Lesley Anne Derks, a Glasgow School of Art graduate, initially drew inspiration from the industrial lights of Grangemouth, focusing on nocturnal cityscapes. Recently, she has shifted to exploring interior lighting, especially chandeliers, using layered textures and innovative techniques to add depth and a glowing quality to her work. Derks has exhibited extensively in the UK and abroad, with over 150 group shows and four solo exhibitions. Her art has been featured in notable publications and she has completed commissions for Scottish Power and the Royal Navy.
