After earning her fine art degree in 2005, Elp relocated to Umbria, Italy, where her passion for figurative painting flourished in a studio previously used by the High Renaissance painter Raphael. Her career highlights include a solo exhibition of 38 portraits at Watts Gallery and a memorable appearance on Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year, where she painted film star Richard E. Grant. Her renowned Paint-Play series continues to captivate collectors globally, with notable owners including British Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies and TV presenter Davina McCall. In May 2019, Elp unveiled her monumental Afterglow series at the grand opening of Castle Fine Art’s flagship gallery in Mayfair. During the pandemic, her Poke series provided a witty commentary on the taboo of physical touch, resonating with audiences worldwide. Her innovative interactive light experience, LUX, engaged her local community and sparked her interest in experiential art. Emerging from lockdown, 2022 saw the debut of her uplifting Ékstasis collection in a solo exhibition at St. Christopher’s Place, London. Elp’s work has also gained widespread visibility through The University of Winchester’s 2023 recruitment campaign, featuring her painting Become on buses, billboards, and train stations across the UK. Additionally, her Canon piece was prominently displayed on the London Underground during Frieze. Her published works can be explored at Castle Fine Art galleries and online.
